Owner, Ben Southern, moved from Fresno, CA to Leander in 2008 and felt there was a need for great, homemade pizza in the area. He opened Southern's Pizza & Sports Pub in April 2009 and has been serving his California Style pizza here in Leander ever since. Ben feels the best pizza is pizza made his way! All of the dough and sauces are made daily in house. Our pies are cooked in a brick oven on top of a sprinkle of cornmeal which makes the crust flaky and crispy, eliminating the floury taste other pizza chains have.
